Course Format – ½ Day Safety Services New Brunswick offers a ½-Day Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015) course. Canada has aligned WHMIS with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), and this course is taught in accordance with current government requirements, providing current information for workers in contact with or near controlled products. Each participant will complete a written or oral test (80%). Successful participants will receive a wallet card valid for three years. Maximum number of participants per session – 15.

Course Objectives The course will outline strategies to ensure the workers safety and the health and safety of other workers around them. To assist in conducting the course, copies of SDS and sample products used in your workplace would be used in the training. Normally six samples would be sufficient; there would be a photocopy of each SDS for each student participating in the course.
