Firearms Safety Course - Cours dans le maniement des armes à feu

Canadian Firearms Safety Course
First-time licence applicants must pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course before applying for a Possession and Acquisition Licence. After the in-class instruction, you will do both a written and a practical test.

The minimum age for the course is 12 years old. Minors under 19 years of age will need written permission observed by the course instructor from a parent or guardian to take the course. Youth under 14 must have a parent or guardian registered and present in the course.

- operating firearm actions
- safe handling and carry procedures
- firing techniques and procedures
- care of non-restricted firearms
- responsibilities of the firearms owner/user
- safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms
